Challenge

Portland Community College manages complex construction programs involving multiple internal teams, general contractors, and subcontractors. PCC needed a centralized and governed way to integrate construction, financial, and compliance data from disparate systems while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance.

Key challenges included integrating data from eBuilder (Trimble), ERP systems, Google Sheets, and LCP Tracker across multiple organizations, delivering real-time financial and compliance dashboards for project managers and stakeholders, and enforcing strong data governance and access controls for sensitive construction and financial information, including FERPA-related considerations.

Solution

Logic Intelligence designed and implemented a unified data analytics solution using Microsoft Power Platform to deliver real-time compliance and financial visibility across PCC’s construction projects.

The solution integrates data from multiple internal and external systems into a standardized analytics model and provides interactive dashboards for budget tracking, cost analysis, and compliance reporting. Automated workflows streamline approvals, data refreshes, and exception handling, while role-based security ensures that users only access data appropriate to their role and contractor level. The platform enables PCC staff and contractors to manage compliance data through user-friendly applications while maintaining strict governance and auditability.
